Dog of the Week:  Shamrock is searching for her forever home! She just turned 3 years old in January and weighs 75lbs. Shamrock was an owner giveup. Her former owners had no time for her and she was left to spend all of her time outside in a kennel under a deck.

Dog of the week:
No more chains for Jake! On April 13 Jake was rescued from life on a chain. On his very first day of freedom, Jake received a luxury bath, a car ride and a trip to the vet's office! He did very well. Jake has proven himself to be a very gentle, well natured dog.

Doberman Rescue Inc. (D.R.I.) is a nonprofit, charitable organization whose primary goal is to rescue abused, abandoned and unwanted Dobermans and place them in suitable, safe, and loving homes. Olivia comes to rescue from a KY shelter. .We all have our stories to tell....this one is about Olivia. Poor olivia suffered a broken leg from maybe a human, or a car. When Olivia was rescued her back leg was just dangling. After talking with people it was determined she came this past winter with the leg, suffered through the cold, got pregnant and had puppies. Which means that she has had the pain of the broken leg for at least 4 months. The KY vet said this break was especially painful and continually painful, because the two pieces of bone, when broken, were rubbing against each other. Thanks to Susan, and many others' generosity, funds were raised to have olivia's leg amputated. Olivia is now free from the pain the leg was causing her and she is getting around just fine!
